Academy

As the final days of set up at the academy came to a close I found myself reflecting on my journey. The dream of opening my own Academy is a process that has spanned many years.

Over the first few years of training I was hyper focused on competition. It was only after suffering an injury that I decided to test my hand teaching classes. To my surprise, I found that I enjoyed teaching even more than I enjoyed competition. I still enjoy competing to this day, although competition can be a bit of a roller coaster with lots of highs and lows. While teaching has always been a constant joy in my life. No matter how my day goes, at the end of my day I get to come teach class and I am always better for it. I always leave happy and engaged with life. The surge of encouragement I have received from my students has been a driving catalyst in my growth. I am excited to see what the future of Inspire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Holds!

Dream to reality

After moving to Northern Colorado last year I quickly fell in love with the area. I especially enjoyed Fort Collins The community, the culture, and people are all amazing. I very soon knew that I wanted to open my academy here.

The last six months have been a real GRIND! I think it is a true testament to the old adage of “If you do what you love you will never work a day in your life”. Whether it has been 16 or 18 hour days I have been invigorated and filled with passionate energy. I have put all my energy into creating the best academy for all of our present and future members! My vision of creating an academy that offers a high level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction in a clean traditional yet modern environment has come to reality!
